If you live in Longhoughton you might have already heard of the newly formed Longhoughton Film Club.
Films are shown every Monday evening at 7.30pm. You can arrive from 7pm to enjoy a drink (there is a cash bar offering wine, beer and cold soft drinks) and chat with fellow fans of cinema. The suggested minimum cash donation is just £2 to see a film and please know that your contribution will go straight back into the club and community centre to support more entertaining events in the future.
There’s a wide range of films being shown to suit all tastes. Since the club began in late 2022 we have screened films as varied as Top Gun: Maverick, To Kill A Mockingbird, Kes and our last film was The Great Escape. In addition to ‘Monday Night Movies’ in Longhoughton, the club also organises ‘Pop Up Cinema’ events, these can take place anytime at short notice to be sure to follow the Facebook group so you don’t miss out.
